Angela MacMichael is a teacher, an administrator, a community builder and people connector. She has 25 years of experience in teaching English and has a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and a Certificate in Teacher Training for TESOL.
She has worked with the Multicultural Agency of the Greater Moncton Area for the past 14 years as a language teacher and a language school manager. She has been a Regional Coach for the Center for Canadian Language Benchmarks, a consultant for national projects such as Portfolio Based Language Assessment and National Curriculum Guidelines for the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada program.
She as also received a recognition for her community work on Canada’s 150 anniversary. She has volunteered her time at local food banks to strengthen food security for the vulnerable in her community, worked with youth at her local church, volunteered at community events such as MOSAIQ and United Way Day of Caring and sat on various community boards to advocate for teachers and students of English as an Additional Language and EAL Literacy.
Angela has taught hundreds of newcomers from all over the world who have chosen to settle in the Greater Moncton Area and considers it a privilege and honor to work with such a diverse group of talented, open and driven individuals that help strengthen our community by sharing their stories, backgrounds, languages and cultures
