An International Master-of-Ceremony, Comedian, TV Host, Actor, Producer and Team Building Facilitator par excellence with a voracious appetite for Creativity, Humour and Quality Entertainment. He owns AK Adesoji Entertainment; an Entertainment and Events Company.
Akin is an Alumnus of the prestigious Kings’ College Lagos and a graduate of Estate Management from The University of Lagos, Akoka. After a brief stint in the Fashion industry and a 2year career in the Corporate Affairs Group of one of Nigeria’s foremost Banks, GTBank Nig. plc. (Events & Brand Management Unit), he decided to make a career out of his passion & obvious talent; the gift of the gab. In 2009, while working in the bank, he co-hosted a Radio show titled GT Connect Radio; which ran for six months.
In about a decade in the Entertainment industry, AK has hosted over 350 corporate and noncorporate events, engaging audiences ranging from 50 to 25,000 persons. He has also anchored events for blue chip organisations such as MTN Nigeria, Unilever Nigeria, Exxon Mobil, Shell Nigeria (SNEPCo), Netco, NLNG, BUA Group, Central Bank of Nigeria, Guaranty Trust Bank Group, Access Bank, Wema Bank, The Honda Place, Microsoft Nigeria and a host of others.
These events are quite diverse; and include Product Launches, Seminars, Team Buildings, Concerts, Weddings, Company Dinners, End-of-Year Parties, Fashion Shows, Birthday Parties, etc.
In December 2014, AK co-anchored Africa’s Largest Music Concert; The Experience Lagos (along with Fela Durotoye). There were 500,000 people in attendance and even more watching online, worldwide. He co-anchored the 2017 edition with IK Osakioduwa.
Akin was the Line Producer of “Highlites With IK”; a Late-night TV Show hosted by IK Osakioduwa on broadcast all over Africa. The show ran from 2015 to 2017. He was also the Line Producer of “Ajoche”; an Epic Telenovela broadcast in sub-Saharan Africa (on DSTV) every weekday from April 2018 to April 2019.
As an Actor, he starred in 2 feature films; Niyi Akinmolayan’s “Prophetess” (on Netflix) & Jade Osiberu’s “Gangs of Lagos” (on Prime Video).
On the small screen, he featured in Season 2 of “Hustle”; a sitcom on DSTV, as a supporting cast member. He was also a supporting cast member on “Unbroken”, another Africa Magic Telenovela.
He has also appeared in a number of television commercials.
AK is guided by 4 core principles: Excellence, Creativity, Professionalism and Humour. He is currently expanding his scope to go international, after hosting a few destination weddings and a recent relocation to the city of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. He plans to continue producing content for media organizations and host top-rated events and television shows.
AK is happily married, with children.
He also enjoys travelling, reading, watching movies, meeting people, and football.
A practical man, AK has been credited with the famous line; “You never know the value of a great host, until you are stuck with a mediocre one!”
